Guides available in the Geopark

In the San’in Kaigan Geopark, Geopark guides and staff members of related facilities will guide you around the Geopark. They have a great deal of knowledge of the must-see spots in the Geopark, and the relationship between such spots and the Geopark. You can also ask for information on good restaurants in the area!

◆Comment from the Guide [Certified guides] Type I guides: 5 / Type II guides: 2

In Genbudo Park, there are five caves including Genbudo Cave (a national natural monument) and Seiryudo Cave. We will describe the history of Genbudo Park and the scientific value of the caves as well as how to enjoy them for each season, which you may not have noticed just by looking at them. We await your visit together with “Gen-san of Genbudo,” the mascot of Toyooka City. The guided tours of Genbudo Park and the townscape of Toyooka City are conducted by our certified Geopark guides.
